Shaneka Dicks

Hi! My name is Shaneka Dicks and I’m from Prince George’s County, Maryland. I joined Lifeline in November 2023 as a Texas Case Worker. In 2014, I graduated with my Bachelors of Psychology from Chowan University, a small private university. I’m currently attending University of Texas at Arlington for a Masters of Social Work. Since 2021, my husband Tray and I have lived in Arlington, TX with our two little fur babies. Troy’s a youth pastor and we have the privilege of walking alongside our students as they learn more about God and what it means to live for Him.

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

Curled up on the couch in a comfy blanket with a good book! Windows open and candles burning.

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

When I’m not at Lifeline, I’m usually helping with a ministry event at church, doing homework, or on the hunt for home decor.

Favorite scripture.

Mark 5:34 “He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'”
