Lifeline Children’s Services and Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services Bring CarePortal to Madison, Hinds and Rankin Counties

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Lifeline Children’s Services, the largest Evangelical adoption and child welfare agency in the United States, has partnered with the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services in bringing CarePortal to the communities of Madison, Hinds and Rankin counties. CarePortal is a platform in which caseworkers and child welfare professionals can submit immediate emergency needs that vulnerable children and their families have, and connect them to people in the community who can meet those tangible needs.

“We are excited to see how this new partnership with Lifeline Children’s Services and CarePortal will serve our communities in a timely way and provide additional support for the dedicated professionals working tirelessly in our agencies,” said Andrea Sanders, Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services, “This will make it possible to expedite relief efforts for the vulnerable children and families who need them most.”

“Our agency has been working in the state of Mississippi for over ten years now to care for vulnerable children and families, and we are thankful for the opportunity to help facilitate this new support network for these communities,” said Herbie Newell, Executive Director and President of Lifeline Children Services.
