Lifeline Expresses Deep Concern Over China’s Decision to End International Adoptions

September 6, 2024: Lifeline Children’s Services is deeply saddened by China’s decision to halt all international adoptions, leaving thousands of children and families grieving. For decades, China has been a vital partner in intercountry adoption, offering vulnerable children the chance to find forever homes. We are concerned for the orphans whose only option will now be institutional care and for the families left with missing pieces in their hearts and families. Lifeline will continue to advocate for these vulnerable children while supporting families impacted by this decision. We are committed to praying for wisdom and hope as we seek solutions that prioritize the welfare and advocacy of these children.
