Ken Smit

Ken Smit serves as the Senior Director of Major Gifts at Lifeline, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our mission since joining in 2023. Originally from Iowa, Ken now resides in Yankton, S.D. with his wife Kim, maintaining close ties to Sioux Center, Iowa. Ken’s life has been shaped by hands-on service and dedication, including 38 years as a retired EMT. He and Kim are proud parents of four married children and enjoy the lively company of six grandchildren, often attending their many activities. Ken’s passions include hunting, boating, family time, and taking drives in his Corvette. His unique background and heartfelt approach make him a valued leader at Lifeline.
Favorite Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11—”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
