Katie Buwalda

Katie Buwalda, LSW, serves as the State Casework Specialist at Lifeline, joining the team in 2023. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Katie holds a degree in Social Work and Spanish from Dordt University. She is passionate about supporting families and individuals through compassionate care, drawing on her professional expertise and her own experiences as a wife and mother. Katie enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, reading, traveling, camping, and watching her daughter discover the world. An avid traveler, she has visited 10 different countries, enriching her perspective and deepening her empathy for others. Katie’s warm approach and dedication reflect Lifeline’s mission to serve with love and understanding. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 94:18-19: “When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
