Josie Dirksen

Hello, my name is Josephine Dirksen, and I am honored to be serving as the new Case Worker for western South Dakota. I was raised on a ranch near Rapid City, SD. I come from a large family with three brothers and two sisters. I graduated from Black Hills State University with a double major in Human Services and Sociology in 2014. While at Black Hills State, I met my husband, Brandon. We married a year after meeting and then started our family. We have three beautiful children together: Loretta, Emersyn, and Austin. Between children, we moved back to the family ranch where I grew up. We raise horses, cows, chickens, goats, and sheep. I love that we can raise our children on the same homestead that I was raised on!

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

On a perfect weekend, I am riding horses and attending church with my family.

Interesting fact about you.

I have a passion for baking and cooking! I enjoy creating new recipes to share with my friends and family.

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

I enjoy riding horses, hiking, volleyball, bible studies, and spending time with my friends and family.

Favorite scripture.

Proverbs 31:26: “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
