I started June 2023 with Lifeline as the Program Manager for the Harbor Families program being piloted in South Dakota. My wife, Staci, is a 1st grade teacher. We have three children – Isaac, Grace, and Mattie. We live in Inwood, Iowa which is just 20 miles outside of our Lifeline office in Sioux Falls, SD.
I am originally from the Minneapolis area. I graduated with a degree in Biology and Education from the University of Sioux Falls (South Dakota) and received my Master’s of Education from Augustana College. I was a high school biology teacher for 15 years before going back to to earn my M.Div. degree at Sioux Falls Seminary. In the 10 years since starting seminary, I have worked with a discipleship and leadership development organization that partnered with churches across North America and, the last 6 years as the lead pastor of a church in NW Iowa.
My lifelong mission has always been to walk alongside others helping them discover and become the people God created them to be. I love working with people; connecting, developing, growing, serving, and helping meet their needs so that they are better able to utilize their unique God-given strengths and talents wherever God leads them.

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

Finding somewhere to go on a hike with my family or simply hanging out/watching a movie.

Interesting fact about you.

This may be dangerous for me with all the “Roll Tide” crowd, but…I am a huge Florida Gators fan!

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

Spend time with my family, read, watch movies, anything outdoors…

Favorite scripture.

Matthew 20:25-28 and Ephesians 4:1-6
