My name is Bethany Westbrook. I am originally from Abilene, TX. I have lived in Dallas now for 8 years and I love it! I joined the Texas Lifeline team in February 2023 as a domestic and international caseworker. I went to Dallas Baptist University to study parachurch ministry, and God led me into the world of foster care and adoption after graduating. I am honored that I get the privilege to walk with clients during such a pivotal time in their lives. It is humbling to know that I get to be a part of God’s redemption story for both adoptive parents and the vulnerable little ones He loves so much.
Living in Dallas is wonderful, but I will say that it is hard to be 2-3 hours from my family. I love when we get together to share a big meal, hang out outside, and watch my niece and nephew play!
What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.
My perfect weekend evening looks like going on a walk or hammocking at White Rock Lake with good company and then coming home to try a new recipe for dinner. Ending the night with a firepit and s’mores in the backyard!
What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?
I love thrift shopping, baking, and being creative! It’s no secret to anyone that knows me that most of my home decorations are carefully collected finds from years of thrifting. My “famous” recipe is orange-glazed scones, but I like learning new techniques and trying out new recipes. And I enjoy water-coloring with friends at coffee shops when we get the chance!
Favorite scripture.
“Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord!” Deut. 33:29
