Lifeline Children’s Services responds to the the Strengthening America’s Children and Families Act being signed into law

January 8, 2025:

This week, the Strengthening America’s Children and Families Act was signed into law. As a trusted leader in foster care and adoption for nearly two decades, Lifeline Children’s Services President and Executive Director Herbie Newell is encouraged by this effort and recently stated,

“It’s refreshing to see bipartisan agreement on this new piece of legislation for the well-being of vulnerable children and families. While Lifeline fully believes that caring for the vulnerable must be driven by communities, families, and churches, we are grateful whenever Congress allocates resources to children and families in foster care. Lifeline Children’s Services is grateful for the leadership responsible for passing this law, especially the CCAI (Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute). We look forward to working with Congress and the incoming administration to continue our work to protect vulnerable children, women, and families.”
