Alaina Oliva

Hi! My name is Alaina Oliva, and I was born in Zachary, Louisiana. My family moved to Cary, North Carolina when I was just four years old, and I have remained in this area for the last 56 years. I began as a Bridge Educational Therapist in August 2022 after 23 years of teaching at Cary Christian School. Recently, the Lord has graciously led me to the full-time position of Bridge Administrative Coordinator beginning September 2023. I attended Wake Technical Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband, Jorge, and I share a home with my daughter, son-in-law, two sweet grandchildren, and four dogs. I also have a son and daughter-in-law who live in Georgia.

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

On a perfect weekend evening, I am sitting with Jorge outside enjoying the lovely pond view, breeze, and chimes.

Interesting fact about you.

Before combining households, we lived on a little horse farm outside of town. In addition to the dogs and barn cats, I had two horses and provided boarding for two additional horses.

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

I love to sing and am committed to choir rehearsals for Sunday mornings as well as special music concerts throughout the year. I am blessed to be able to see to the needs of my elderly mother as well as my grandchildren when needed.

Favorite scripture.

One of my favorite scripture verses is Psalm 121:1-2 “I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
