Herbie Newell issued a statement in response to Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ child welfare plans

Birmingham, AL, February 28, 2023: On Tuesday, Herbie Newell, President and Executive Director of Lifeline’s Children’s Services, issued the following statement in response to Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ child welfare plans:

“Lifeline Children’s Services applauds Governor Huckabee Sanders and is equipped to continue our work with the state of Arkansas. We will support the work of the state in the coming days, months and years, and continuously hope for family restoration and human flourishing for every child, woman and man. We have completed Families Count training with several Arkansas churches, and there are churches such as The Church of Mountain Home, River Bible Church, and Christ Community Church of Mountain Home, that are already partnering with us to serve families in crisis.”
