For adults traveling it will be $2,250 and children under age 12 will be $1,998.
What does the cost of the trip cover?
The price above includes: English speaking guide, ground transportation, in country Bullet Train from Beijing to Xi’An and Xi’An to Shanghai, hotel fee, meals listed on the itinerary, and outing admissions.

Your Chinese visa, international airfare for each traveler, guide and driver tips, and travel insurance if you choose to purchase it.
What are some outings we can expect to go on?
You’ll visit the worlds largest square, Tian An Men Square, Mu Tian Yu Great Wall, experience a cultural heritage activity, visit Qin Terracotta Museum, and have the option to go to Shanghai Disney!
What would it be like to visit our child’s orphanage and provincial city?
- You would have the opportunity to do a half-day tour of your child’s provincial capital city, visit their orphanage in the afternoon, and explore their finding spot.
- Orphanages are open to visitors on a case-by-case basis. Your guide will help with coordinating a visit to your child’s specific orphanage.
How can I best prepare my child for visiting their country of origin again?
Great question! Our Lifeline team will support you with additional handouts and talking points for discussing this exciting but sometimes challenging trip with your child.
Will we be alone while we’re traveling?
No! During the dates of June 9-17th you will be participating in activities with the rest of the Heritage trip group and guides. If you choose to visit your child’s orphanage, you’ll have an English-speaking guide supporting your specific family during that time as well.
