The Dominican Republic has one of the largest economies in the Caribbean and Central American regions, and it is known for its great biological diversity and tourist attractions. Despite all the country has to offer, the DR has various social issues resulting in many children needing care.

About our Partner

In 1992, Niños de la Luz started caring for Venezuelan “street boys," or boys who had no one to care for them. In 2005, they expanded to the DR to open La Baliza (another boys home). In 2017, they expanded their ministry to South Sudan to open a third boys home there.

Program Focus

Loving homes for boys who have been homeless, abused, and abandoned on the streets while providing a strong foundation, purpose for life, and tools to strive.

Schools that provide individual attention to recover for any lost time and education.

Life skills like cooking, budgeting, carpentry, electricity, mechanical, and more to equip boys for independent life.

Mission-minded coffee shop in the DR to help provide funding and employment opportunities for the boys as they reach adulthood.
