Alabama Children’s Services
A few ways Lifeline serves Alabama and Alabama Churches
Foster Care
Lifeline’s hope is that the Body of Christ would be the hands and feet of Jesus to children in foster care, their birth families, and other professionals that serve them. We provide both pre- and post-licensure training to foster families. Lifeline also offers training for local churches to equip the Body of Christ to care for these children and families.
Church Initiatives
Use these church-centered initiatives to make an eternal impact in the lives of the vulnerable. Built for your church body, young and old, these initiatives will help bring the needs of the orphan to light in your church.
International Adoption Help
If you sense God’s leading to grow your family through international adoption, we encourage you to pre-apply today or schedule a call with one of our adoption specialists.
Domestic Adoption Help
We’re committed to discipling, encouraging, and supporting couples through the adoption process. We educate, equip, and pray for you at every step.
If you’re interested in moving forward in domestic adoption, we invite you to complete a pre-application. This form will allow you to attend an upcoming domestic adoption webinar. In the webinar you’ll find tons of information and find answers to many of your questions on topics like: home studies, finances, fees, timelines, birth mother relationships, and more. After attending the webinar, you will have the opportunity to complete an application into the domestic adoption program.
Counseling
Nurture. Heal. Grow. Lifeline’s Education & Counseling team believes families are God’s designed place for nurturing and facilitating health in children so they can flourish.
We exist to support adoptive families, foster families, and others with cutting-edge techniques filtered through a biblical worldview. We seek to strengthen families and, in turn, influence a child’s environment. This work is not just for a season — our goal is to empower and support a family over a lifetime — from placement, to post-placement, to permanency.
Education
Does your child struggle with working memory, visual or auditory processing, social skills, attention, critical thinking, or communicating ideas? Lifeline sees how many schools create a standardized approach to learning, and that might not be the best fit for your child from hard places. As you try to help your child reach their educational potential, you may be feeling frustrated, and at times, hopeless.
But there is hope! We not only serve the God of hope, but our God has allowed science in a 21st Century approach to help us know that our brains can change.
Global Orphan Care
While adoption is a beautiful response to God’s command to care for the fatherless, the large majority of children considered orphans will never be adopted.
Various factors like age, special needs, and life and country circumstances often cause children to remain vulnerable. These children face vulnerability to sexual exploitation, drug abuse, and slavery. Many end up unprepared for adulthood and have no knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves them.
