Children in the foster care system need someone to show them the love of Jesus.
Children enter foster care through no fault of their own and are in need of a safe, stable place to land while their parents work towards reunification. Lifeline’s hope is that the Body of Christ would be the hands and feet of Jesus to children in foster care, their birth families, and other professionals that serve them. We provide holistic, Gospel centered pre- and post-licensure training to foster families to equip you to enter into the mission field of foster care.
Lifeline also offers training for local churches to equip the Body of Christ to care for these children and families. While every person may not be called to foster, everyone can play a significant role in supporting and caring for foster families, birth families, and state caseworkers.
There are more than 400,000 opportunities to show the love of Christ to vulnerable children and families.
Lifeline’s Foster Care ministry exists to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children. We seek to extend grace, compassion, and the love of Jesus Christ to children and birth families in the foster care system. We believe that every child placement is a unique opportunity to minister to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of a child and their birth family.
We believe that a child’s needs are best met under the guidance of Christian foster parents who can ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children during a time of great uncertainty in their lives.
Our desire is to help lessen the burden of child welfare agencies in recruiting foster families by partnering with local churches to recruit, train, and support these families.

Learn all you need to know to earn your license in your state
Alabama
For citizens of Alabama, you’ll need to attend an orientation meeting first, followed by a 10-week training course. Within the course you’ll learn about requirements for licensure and about what it takes to be a gospel-focused, reunification-minded foster parent.
South Carolina
For citizens of South Carolina, we’ll walk you through your specific requirements, trainings, and resources for you to know the process for licensure. Within the trainings, you’ll find out more about what it takes to be a gospel-centered, reunification-minded foster parent.
Washington
For citizens of Washington, we’ll walk you through your specific requirements, trainings, and resources for you to know the process for licensure. Within the trainings, you’ll find out more about what it takes to be a gospel-centered, reunification-minded foster parent.
Other States
Lifeline desires to help you care for the vulnerable children in foster care in your area. While we do not offer pre-licensure training in all states, we do have a wealth of resources to help you and your church care for vulnerable children and families in your community.
