Waynes Pest Control has been a Lifeline Global Orphan Care partner for many years. The company previously traveled to Ukraine annually, and for the past 10 years, they have traveled to the Dominican Republic. There, they partner with Lifeline to serve Jon and Shannon Haslett and Niños de la Luz. This ministry provides a loving home, quality education, and life skills for boys who have been abused and abandoned and found living on the street.
Hearing stories from those impacted by Niños de la Luz and witnessing the joy the boys have as a result has touched the lives of the Waynes Team Members who have traveled to help with construction and maintenance projects over the last decade.
The stories that have been shared with other Team Members and the company create a ripple effect that makes everyone at Waynes passionate about helping and seeing what we can do each year. For me personally, my first trip to LaBaliza was in 2017 and I was so inspired by the amazing work they were doing that this trip has become a huge passion project for me at Waynes. I have been on every trip since and try to help in any way that I can. It is an experience I will always be grateful for. It fills my heart with so much joy and happiness, and I feel so honored and privileged to be a very small part of the amazing work that is being done by these organizations.”
