Kristen Jones

Kristen joined Lifeline in October 2023 and is originally from Eastman, Georgia. She is a LCSW in Georgia and North Carolina. She attended the University of Georgia for her Bachelor’s in Social Work and Valdosta State University for her Master’s in Social Work. Since then, Kristen has worked in a variety of contexts in the mental health field providing her a foundation for clinical assessment, group therapy, and individual therapy with adults, teens, and children. She works from a trauma informed, client centered approach, and seeks to provide therapy in collaboration with each client and/or family in their unique walk of life. She pulls from a variety of frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She enjoys the integration of evidence-based treatments and Christian values in her practice if of interest to the client. In her work with children and families, she uses Theraplay® principles to empower the parent-child relationship.

Kristen is married to Jordan, and they have two young girls and a cat. They live in the Athens, Georgia area to be near family after living in Wake Forest, North Carolina for 5 years. Kristen spends most of her time outside of work with her children. They love going to the local playground, taking walks, and being with friends and family. She has an identical twin sister and sometimes show up to events unexpectedly wearing the same thing!
