BIRMINGHAM, AL, January 19, 2022 – On January, 21, Lifeline Children’s Services will support the March for Life, the annual gathering of pro-life Americans marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, which legalized abortion. This year’s march is significant due to the pending results of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which has the potential to overturn Roe v Wade, empowering states to make their own laws on abortion.
“This year’s powerful theme, ‘Equality Begins in the Womb,’ aligns with Lifeline’s work as the largest evangelist adoption agency in our country,” said Herbie Newell, President of Lifeline Children’s Services. “Lifeline’s prayer is that people would know that all life is unique, special, and created in the image of God. This is a pivotal moment for the pro-life movement as we’re on the cusp of witnessing the end of the almost 50-year tyranny of Roe v Wade. But our work doesn’t end when Roe does. We must redouble our efforts to work together to help women in crisis and children in need.”
