Lifeline Children’s Services Response to 2024 Presidential Election

November 6, 2024: At Lifeline Children’s Services, our work transcends politics, but we’re aware that policies impact our ability to serve according to our faith. A Christian worldview has long been the foundation of foster care and child welfare since its inception in the U.S. Regardless of your political views, Christians advocating for vulnerable children cannot deny the improved outcomes seen during Trump’s first term.

During his first term, Trump’s administration demonstrated a commitment to open dialogue with faith-based organizations, affirming the essential role of Christians in child welfare. We pray this openness and collaboration continue, allowing us to strengthen efforts to support vulnerable children. Our child welfare system has long been on the edge of crisis, and people of faith hold the key to lasting improvement. Mandates that force Christians to compromise their beliefs by removing conscience protections could make the entire system crumble.

Whatever the next four years bring politically, Lifeline will remain rooted in Christ to provide hope to vulnerable children and families. Please join me in praying for our President-Elect— that he will continue a spirit of collaboration for the benefit of vulnerable children.
