My name is Betsie Taunton and I am from Montgomery, AL. I just moved to Birmingham in August after graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work. While my immediate family is just me, my sister, and my parents, I come from a very big family! There’s roughly 30 grandchildren plus the 15 great grandchildren so holidays are always my favorite time of year. I credit my family relationships for my passion for children and families.

My friends and I are trying a new restaurant around Birmingham. We have a list we’re working our way through!

Interesting fact about you.

I am a proud graduate of Auburn University but was born and raised in an Alabama family. So I cheer for both Alabama and Auburn!

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

My friends and I have really been in to pickleball recently! We’re not the most skilled but we’re getting there.
