Lifeline Children’s Services to Host Annual ‘Stand for Orphans’ Fundraiser

Event Impacts Vulnerable Children Locally and Globally

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Lifeline Children’s Services, the largest evangelical adoption and child welfare  agency in the United States, is hosting its 8th annual “Stand for Orphans” fundraising event this summer. The event provides vital support to vulnerable children around the world in the areas of education, comprehensive health care,  family care and a chance to thrive in a loving home with a family.

What began as a family organizing a lemonade stand to raise money and awareness for orphans has since grown to an international, months-long fundraiser. Stand for Orphans is a chance for children to make an impactful change in the world by hosting a lemonade stand and donating the proceeds to Stand for Orphans. Since its inception, Stand for Orphans has raised close to half a million dollars for orphans around the world.

“This year we are thrilled to partner with our communities and churches all over our nation,” said Lifeline Children’s Services President and Executive Director Herbie Newell. “Together, we aim to raise awareness, resources and support for vulnerable children and families all over the world. This is a great opportunity for people to contribute whether they are 8 years old or 80 years old.”

Lifeline Children’s Services is the largest Evangelical Christian adoption agency in America, with offices in 18 states and headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. It serves vulnerable children and families through private domestic and international adoption, family restoration and pregnancy counseling.
