Merry Christmas… or is it? For a child in foster care the past memories of Christmas may not be so merry. For many adopted children, they may be experiencing an American Christmas for the first time. For all of our children from trauma, the season can bring many challenges and be quite overwhelming with changes in schedules and all the overstimulation of sights, sounds and extra events. This webinar will give practical tips on preparing your child for the season, setting realistic expectations for extended family and friends, and making alterations to some traditional activities during the holidays so that you can minimize meltdowns and the “bah humbugs”.
