With almost no exception, each country across Africa has been devastated by wars, famine, and political instability which has destroyed families and even the idea of family. Well-meaning people, with the best intentions, tried to solve that issue by building orphanages. The result has been even more devastating. Lifeline's Global Orphan Care ministry connects with local churches, church networks, and children's homes as well as NGO's who are helping solve this issue to bring effective Biblical, Clinical, and Organizational training, mentoring, and relationally driven partnership.
Zoe Ministries in Kenya is an NGO which serves as a transitional house for children in the orphanage system who are being moved toward restoration with their families of origin or to stable foster/adoptive care. They also work alongside churches to bring clean water and the Gospel into rural, impoverished communities. Finally, their home for pregnant teenage mothers helps bring dignity and worth to a group of vulnerable young women who could otherwise end up in desperate situations. Please pray for the Zoe team as they seek to strengthen and restore families.
Awareness is more than half the effort for caring for vulnerable in Kenya, the more people share the more people know the more we can help our partners care for the vulnerable in Kenya.
