Melinda Nell

My name is Melinda Nell! I am originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast area, but now love living in Auburn, Alabama with my husband. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Social Work then went on to receive my Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. I joined the Lifeline staff in 2018 in our Atlanta, Georgia office. I now work remotely and serve as a Domestic Specialist. It is a such a privilege to prepare and serve families in the Domestic Adoption Program as they minister to birth families. My husband and I have been married since 2016 and have a precious dog named Koda!

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

On a perfect weekend, I am thrifting or antiquing, trying a new recipe, reading in the sun, and spending time with my husband and friends!

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

I enjoy going for walks, getting sunshine, reading or Bible study at my favorite coffee shop, cooking, and traveling. I also love living in a college town and mentoring college girls!

Favorite scripture.

Psalm 16:8-9 “I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.”
