Karla Thrasher, LBSW, TBRI Practitioner, serves as Vice President of International Ministries and has been a dedicated member of Lifeline since 2001. Originally from South Dakota, Karla has called Alabama home since childhood. She is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she majored in Social Work and minored in Psychology. Karla has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jamie, for over thirty years and is the proud mother of three adult children, a wonderful son-in-law, and two beloved granddaughters, Maddy and Milly. Outside of work, Karla enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, always seeking out fun and meaningful moments. An interesting fact about Karla is that she chose social work as her college major because it required very little math! Her favorite scripture is Micah 6:8, which she loves for its clear guidance on what the Lord requires of us.
