Ivy Colbert, LBSW

Social Worker

Ivy joined Lifeline in May 2019. She is from Dothan, Alabama and she serves as the Taiwan and Hong Kong lead program caseworker and China program caseworker. Ivy graduated from Auburn University receiving her BSW and went on to earn her MSW from Baylor University. She grew up as the middle child of five, and the youngest was adopted from China when Ivy was in high school. This led her to work in international adoption social work! Ivy’s older sister has two little girls, making her “Aunt Gogo”.  Ivy’s family is really big, very loud, and always there for each other. She loves to go for really long walks with her friends and her dog, Fran, and enjoyed cheering on the Auburn Tigers squad. She absolutely loves to read, and you will never catch her without a cup of coffee in hand. She love to adventure and travel the world, and spending time with her family at the lake. Ivy’s 3 simple joys are: a quiet morning with the Lord, that first cup of coffee, and a good sunset. “I love that each day is meaningful, that I get the honor of bringing families together, and that I get to disciple families through their adoption journey and beyond.”
