Gracie Day

My name is Gracie Day. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, and now reside in Birmingham, Alabama. I have been on staff since February 2023. At Lifeline, I work as a Social Worker on the India team. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Auburn University and went on to receive my MSW from Dordt University. I come from a big family. I am the youngest of 8 children and have five brothers and two sisters. I am both excited and thankful for the opportunity to work alongside wonderful families through various parts of their adoption process. I feel blessed to have the call of social work on my life as I step in to this role of service.

What I am doing on a perfect weekend evening.

On a perfect weekend evening I am spending quality time with friends and family, reading a good book or snuggled on the couch with a hot cup of coffee.

Interesting fact about you.

I was a competitive gymnast for 15 years and competed for the Auburn University Women’s Gymnastics team from 2016-2020.

What do you do when you are not at Lifeline?

I enjoy reading and journaling in coffee shops, if I could go to the beach every weekend I would, I spend time with friends, serve in my local church, and support all things Auburn.

Favorite scripture.

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 33:20-22 which reads “Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.”
