Emily Pridgen

Foster Care & Adoption Specialist - South Carolina

Emily joined Lifeline in April 2021.  She was born in West Virginia, but grew up in Florida and Wilmington, NC. After many years living in the Midlands, she now calls Beaufort, SC her home. Emily serves as a Foster Care and Adoption Specialist on the South Carolina Team. She attends Indiana Wesleyan University studying Social Work. Emily is married to Andrew and they have five children. Her family also includes a sweet bonus-daughter who lives close by and just made her an official Grammy for which she is over the moon! Emily is an adoptive mom and a former foster parent as well. Her family has grown tremendously through implementing TBRI strategies into their daily interactions and also through the journey of transracial adoption which will last a lifetime! Emily says she is a huge nerd and loves to read, research, and learn for fun! She likes to spend her days at the beach with her family soaking in as much salty air and water as she can. Emily’s 3 simple joys are: Strong coffee, ancient live oaks dripping with Spanish moss and making art with her kids (of all ages!). “I love the emphasis of servant leadership that I have observed throughout the ministry of Lifeline, and the outflowing of that same heart to all the women, children, and families whom we serve.”
