Emily Powell serves as Lifeline’s IT Specialist, bringing a strong background in cybersecurity and information systems to the team since joining in 2026. Emily holds a degree in Cybersecurity from Jefferson State Community College and a Management Information Systems degree with a concentration in Cybersecurity Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her professional experience includes two years as a systems analyst intern at UAB, where she gained hands-on expertise in authentication, account management, Single Sign-On, enterprise applications, and permissions access. Emily is passionate about growing in her faith, serving God, and using her skills to support Lifeline’s mission of assisting vulnerable children and helping them find safe, loving homes. She finds inspiration in Matthew 6:34: “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
