Church Engagement Internship – As a Church Engagement Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with Lifeline’s team serving local churches and other Lifeline ministry partners. You will be helping to resource and equip these partners to care for orphans and vulnerable children in a variety of ways. Interns will assist in the development and implementation of resources for national campaigns such as Orphan Sunday, Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Stand for Orphans, and Mission Kids, as well as helping churches develop and carry out a strategy for orphan care. This internship is designed to help students preparing for local church leadership through pastoral ministry or parachurch ministry leadership build skills necessary for serving the Body of Christ.
Development Internship – Work with Lifeline’s Development Team to coordinate events in Birmingham and to support events in our state offices. Includes reaching out to local businesses and partners, working with committee members, and recruiting volunteers. Interns would also be responsible for researching partnership opportunities, connecting with new potential donors, exploring methods of stewardship and donor appreciation, and raising awareness of Lifeline’s ministry in the community. Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to assist with implementing a comprehensive strategy for marketing Lifeline’s primary ministry aspects: adoption and birth parent ministry, foster care, orphan care and education. Throughout this internship, the individual will gain exposure to developing content calendars, social media strategy, digital fundraising, marketing campaigns, branding/design, data entry, ability to learn or experience with organizational databases, public relations, merchandising, marketing analysis, and a wide variety of communications mediums (print, social, magazine, podcast, email, etc.).
Graphic Design – Work with Lifeline’s graphic designer to create digital and print collateral for events, church initiatives, annual giving campaigns, and ministry-wide marketing and communication. The individual will have the opportunity to help brainstorm and conceptualize in areas of event theme and design, merchandise, and look at branding for various campaigns. This individual must be highly proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Experience in photography, video editing, and magazine layout and design are a plus. Online design portfolios are preferred.
Executive Internship – Work with the Director of Operation’s office for planning and research for all aspects of the ministry of Lifeline. These offices touch all aspects of the ministry, both internally and externally. Experience will be gained in planning, projections, development, staffing and multi-site management.
Information Technology Internship – IT interns assist the IT Director in troubleshooting computer and/or software issues, setting up computers and phones, administration of Office 365, the wireless network and a VOIP phone system. A-V interns will work with Development to film, edit and provide graphics for training programs for adoptive parents and social service professionals. Dual or independent placements are available.
International Business Internship – As an intern, you would work in coordination with the International Director and International Staff for the purpose of maintaining current country programs, establishment of new country programs, and furthering our relationships with alumni families. The following opportunities would be available: Research paperwork requirements for the submission of dossiers to new country programs, investigate the steps necessary for the completion of an adoption in newly acquired country programs and work on specific projects that would reach alumni families with further opportunities to engage in Lifeline.
(un)adopted Internship – As a (un)adopted intern, you will have an array of opportunities to use your interests and gifts to assist the (un)adopted team through preparing curriculum and resources to equip the body of Christ across the globe. Do you have an interest in international discipleship? Help us prepare discipleship programs for our strategic partners, from children to adults. Are you passionate about education or teaching life or business skills? Help us acquire educational resources for our international partners. You will also assist the (un)adopted team with administrative duties as we prepare to host our international partners at the Orphan Care Summit.
