Program Spotlight: Southeast Asia

Lifeline’s Southeast Asia program is currently accepting applications for the countries of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and India.

What’s new in your program? We have seen some exciting growth in our India, Taiwan, and Hong Kong programs over the past few months. Many children have been added to the waiting child lists, and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to advocate for these precious kiddos!

What do you want to tell families interested in adoption? We see children of all ages in these three countries, and we have recently seen an increase in younger children to be adopted. In each country, we have the opportunity to work with amazing, gifted partners on the ground that help facilitate the adoption process in each country and are vital to the program.

What is one unique factor or differentiating factor about your program? Each of these countries has process times of approximately 18 to 24 months. India’s process can extend beyond that time frame, but the majority of adoptions in these countries can be completed in less than two years.

What special considerations should families know about when considering your program? It is important for families to understand that these three programs are special needs programs. The children available for adoption have needs that range from minor, correctable needs to more moderate or severe needs. Here at Lifeline, we are so thankful for opportunities to advocate for children with special needs. We have loved seeing the Lord open doors for families to adopt from these special programs, and we look forward to seeing what He does in this next year!
