Lifeline Celebrates Executive Order: Fostering the Future for American Children and Families
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 19, 2025— Lifeline Children’s Services celebrates the signing of Fostering the Future for American Children and Families, an Executive Order focused on strengthening the U.S. child welfare system and expanding opportunities for children, families, and youth transitioning out of foster care.
We are encouraged by this meaningful step toward addressing long-standing challenges within the foster care system. This action represents a bold and hopeful move toward ensuring every child has a safe, loving home and access to the support they need to thrive.
“By prioritizing children and youth transitioning from foster care, this Executive Order aligns with what drives us daily — our mission to serve vulnerable children through gospel-centered care and support,” said Herbie Newell, president and executive director. “Our commitment remains steadfast as we work to ensure every child is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe, loving family.”
