Church Based Programs Administrative Assistant

Location: Birmingham, AL

Status: Part-time

Position Summary: Works cooperatively with Church Based Program Director and associated personnel to ensure effective services and ministries offered to all church based programs, including Families Count, Harbor Families, and Heritage Builders.

Responsibilities: 

  • To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
  • Forms creation and updating
  • Management of back end database work for church based programs
  • Handles all intake calls for church based programs
  • Coordinating local trainings and host church relationships
  • Planning and preparing for church trainings and events
  • Database organization for churches, volunteers, attendees, etc.
  • Assisting Church Based Programs Director as needed

Secondary Responsibilities: 

  • Assists with and attends agency sponsored events
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the office
  • Maintains good working relationships with co-workers, including resolving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Domestic Services

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s Degree – Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred

Work Environment: 

  • Work is performed in a professional office environment
