The first step to becoming a foster parent is to attend the orientation meeting prior to participating in the 6-10 week (differs by state) foster parent training course. Here you will learn more about Lifeline’s foster care program and the various requirements for licensure, including state-mandated training, the home study process, and Minimum Standards for Foster Homes. Orientation does not commit you to fostering but is a great place to simply learn more. Please register for the appropriate orientation meeting.
