My name is Mutebi and I was born deaf. My Mom is a witch doctor in the community and used to use my difficult situation as a means for her work. I will not easily forget my challenging upbringing. I am, however, so very thankful and happy now as a student at Busega Community School for the Deaf. I am learning so much, receiving care like never before and noticing great improvement in my health. My teachers say I am servant-hearted as I love to bring joy to those around me and lead prayer time at chapel. There are many reasons I am grateful to be attending this school; one being that my Mom has now heard the Gospel of Jesus through this community of believers I am surrounded by. Please pray for me as I continue to overcome health challenges and learn at school.
