One of the ways you can get involved in Guatemala is to begin praying for the needs that are present there. Check back occasionally to see an updated list of prayer requests for this country.
Prayer Points
Pray the gospel will go forward brightly in the midst of such a “religious” (but not Christ-centered) culture
Pray for the government to keep open-minded in more way for the church to serve (foster care)
Pray for Paola and SOMOS one of the organizations from La Reforma church, that serves children living at the orphanages by training mentors who pair with the kids in a long-term relationship.
Pray for David, Aixa and ACH as they advocate in many different ways in behalf of the Guatemala’s children
Pray for ACTS 29 Latin-America, as they training churches to plant other churches in the region. they have the intention of include Orphan Care as part of the planting training.
Pray for wisdom for the (un)adopted team as they build relationships with churches, pastors, and key partners
Pray for the church to be strengthened and the gospel will spread in Guatemala. Pray that the church becomes more aware of the orphan crisis and as we progress in discipleship with the local churches.
Pray for the children waiting to be adopted from Colombia. May the Lord offer them his comfort and peace and they wait for a family to pursue them.
Pray for the caregivers in the foster homes, group homes, and orphanages who are serving the waiting children
