Below is Lifeline’s International Adoption Statistical Report of the past three years:

Number of international adoptive placements per year for the prior three calendar years:

– 2024: 98

– 2023: 135

– 2022: 124

Number and percentage of those international placements that remain intact, are disrupted, or have been dissolved:

Total Placements: 357

– 344 (96.35%) remain intact

– 4 (1.1%) dissolved

– 9 (2.50%) disruptions

Number of parents who apply to adopt internationally on an annual basis, based on data for the prior three calendar years:

– 2024: 98

– 2023: 122

– 2022: 112

Number of children eligible for international adoption and awaiting an adoptive placement referral via Lifeline:

Zero – (Children are placed via the Central Authority for Adoption in the represented countries.)


*Note: Taiwan, Uganda, and Ukraine have not ratified the Hague Convention, and therefore, are not affected by the United States’ implementation of the Hague Convention.
