Position Summary: Responsible for Lifeline events from start to finish including attendance and advocacy outcomes. This person provides leadership for committees and volunteers as well providing resources and support to state offices hosting events. 

Essential Duties: 

  • To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners.To plan, organize and communicate all aspects of fundraising events.  Work with sponsors, vendors and all logistics to execute a well-organized event.  Events include but are not limited to the banquet, R(un) for One, Golf Tournament and Arc Stories 
  • Consults with state offices regarding essential goals and objectives of each event using Birmingham events as a template but allowing for customization relative to each state’s unique context. 
  • Assists state directors in planning fundraising events including but not limited to State banquets, Clay Shoots (MS and FL) and other events as they arise. 
  • Coordinates communication of event before, during, and after  
  • Responsible for developing a plan to secure and ensure value for sponsors that is executed with the Development Team 
  • Works with the design and communication team to promote events and ensure desired messaging is translated 
  • Manage all direct communication with vendors (venues, food, etc.) 
  • Recruit, organize, train, schedule and lead event volunteers and event volunteer committees 
  • Become fully knowledgeable and active in the ministry of Lifeline Children’s Services as one of the main advocates of the ministry. 
  • Utilize the full capability of Virtuous to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors

  • To serve in leadership roles as assigned by the Development Director 
  • Other duties as assigned by Executive Director or leadership staff. 

Secondary Duties: 

  • Assists with development campaigns and donor relations programs 
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the office 
  • Maintains good working relationships with co-workers, including resolving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion 
  • Assists with and attends ministry special events, training, staff retreat, etc. 
  • Agrees with and signs the Employee Statement and Statement of Faith 
  • Upholds the mission, vision, values, and strategies of the ministry 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Development Director

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of undergraduate work with the experience, responsibility and duties in administration preferred 
  • Experience in large event planning and non-profit fundraising preferred 
  • Experience with donor database preferred
