Heritage Builders Program Manager

Location: Birmingham, AL

Status: Full-time

Position Summary:

Manages the growing impact of Heritage Builders, a church program designed to support youth aging out of the foster care system, by ensuring expansion and implementation through Lifeline church partners, under the direction of the Director of Church-Based Programs.

Responsibilities: 

  • To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
  • Actively leads the team in a manner aligned with scripture including, but not limited to, praying for and with them, sharing scripture in daily activities and leadership, modeling the character of Jesus Christ in interactions with team and any external clients, partners, vendors, etc.
  • Disciples employees for the benefit of our ministry partners and clients.
  • Aligns team dynamics, internal & external processes, and final product of team’s work with Biblical principles and with Lifeline’s Core Values
  • Oversee Heritage Builders program, which includes managing local and national church partnerships and finding ways to scale and grow the program
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen church relationships and partnerships, as well as local leadership in each applicable area
  • Oversee and collaborate to ensure quality training for new Heritage Builders church partners, including the training of trainers
  • Manage all components of the Heritage Builders program to be delivered to include: training, manuals, forms, processes, database tracking and other related model components
  • Compile Heritage Builders reports for Lifeline based on church survey results and other forms of data collection, developing new data management tools as needed
  • Develop and oversee training for all roles of the program to be delivered to staff and volunteers (collaborate with education team for training curriculum support)
  • Create and launch church implementation strategies to empower them to develop partnerships with local level child welfare and Independent Living departments, resource partners within the church, and community partners outside the church to create strong systems of support for their ministry, in collaboration with the church partnerships team
  • Conduct Heritage Builders interest meetings and trainings as needed
  • Engage in active recruitment of new church partners
  • Maintain regular contact with established and interested partners in Heritage Builders and provide consultation on policy and implementation matters
  • Travel as needed to provide live training and informational meetings to partners in Heritage Builders
  • Plan Heritage Builders church trainings, as needed, in conjunction with other Lifeline team members
  • Coordinate with and provide support to State Directors regarding Heritage Builders recruitment and implementation
  • Amend Heritage Builders curriculum and training tools as needed, in collaboration with the Director of Church-Based Programs
  • Assists with and attends agency sponsored events
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the office
  • Maintains good working relationships with co-workers, including resolving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of the Executive Team

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least 2 years of related work experience, required.

Work Environment: 

  • Work is performed in a professional office environment.
