Kim joined the Lifeline staff in 2013. She holds a Bachelor degree in Social Work from Alabama A & M University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama with a concentration in child and adolescent mental health. Kim served families as a Post Adoption Social Worker with Lifeline for a number of years before transitioning into her role as a Lifeline Family Therapist. Kim has experience working with children and adults who experience anxiety, grief, depression, anger, attachment difficulties, trauma, as well as providing parenting and marriage assistance from a spiritual perspective. She has also been educated in principles of Corrective Attachment Therapy, Play Therapy, Prepare and Enrich, and Attachment-Focused Family Therapy. She has experience counseling with families related to international and domestic adoption as well as foster care. Kim also teaches Lifeline’s Crossings trainings. She is passionate about supporting and equipping families to who have followed the call to foster or adopt.
