China Program Administrative Assistant

Katie Lyn McKinney started with Lifeline in January of 2016. Her connection with Lifeline goes all the way back to 2006 when her parents adopted two two-year olds from China. Fast forward to now and she now serves as an administrative assistant on Lifeline’s China team. Katie Lyn is blessed to be the oldest of 14 children, 10 of whom are adopted from China. She also lived in China for a semester teaching preschool at a Foster Home in southern China. Having tangibly cared for orphans overseas, being a sibling of adopted children, and now getting to work “behind the scenes” in the adoption world, Katie Lyn says that she is “so incredibly blessed to have a full-circle perspective on adoption and orphan care.”

Katie Lyn just recently got married in March of 2016 and is blessed to now live in Blount County, Alabama. Katie Lyn says, “I am so thankful to be working at a ministry that has the Gospel at the forefront of everything. As much as I am passionate about adoption and caring for the orphan, I know that the Gospel is what truly changes lives. I am forever thankful that Jesus changed mine!”
