R(un) for One

R(un) for One – Hope for the (un)adopted.

Purpose:
To raise awareness and support to care for the (un)adopted.

What is (un)adopted?
(un)adopted, which is a ministry of Lifeline Children’s Services, exists to provide a hope and a future for orphans around the world by facilitating a safe environment to disciple and equip children in need. Find out more by visiting unadopted.org

The Event:
The R(un) for One 5K is a steady, 3.1 mile run looping the scenic Veteran’s Park on a trail through the cross-country course where you’ll pass by ponds and through shaded woods.

Veteran’s Park, located at 4800 Valleydale Road, is adjacent to Spain Park High School.

Fees:
5K R(un): $30 by Sept. 26/$35 on Race Day
Kids Fun R(un): $10 by Sept. 26th/$15 on Race Day

Registration Closing Date:
Wednesday, September 26, 2012 @ 11:59 PM PST

Race Day Registration:
Although online registration will close Wednesday Sept. 26, participants can still register on race day. There is a price increase for race day registration and receiving a t-shirt is not guaranteed.

Runner Packet Pickup:
Packet Pick-up will be Friday, September 28th at The Trak Shak (Hwy. 280 location) from 1 – 6 PM. You may also pick up your packet the morning of the race.

Other Details:
7:00 am- day of registration opens
7:45 am- day of registration closes
8:00 am- R(un) for One begins
Immediately following is the Fun Run
9:30 am- Awards Ceremony

  1. Anybody know if this is flat or hilly?

  2. It’s mixed terrain. There are some long flat stretches and then there are a couple of areas tht are really hilly. It’s a dirt track around a lake and through the woods. It is used for a lot of high school and college cross country meets.
