Loving from a Distance Webinar:

How family and friends can show love and support without hurting attachment.

Please join us online Thursday, June 13th from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm CST for our webinar on “Loving from a Distance: How family and friends can show love and support without hurting attachment”. This webinar will be led by Whitney White, Lifeline’s International Education Counselor.

This webinar will consist of a guideline for family and friends who would like to support a family with a newly adopted child. The tendency is to shower these children with immediate love and affection, but we would like to prepare loved ones that the love needed may look very different than what they have been accustomed. A brief overview of why these children’s needs are different will be provided in addition to practical ways that grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other close family and friends could accommodate those needs. Vivid descriptions and examples will be given as well as a list of do’s and don’ts to appropriately support these families. Please feel free to invite your grandparents, friends, family members to participate in this webinar.

Friends of Lifeline, 

Lifeline Staff will be traveling to China the last week of May and we need your help! We will be visiting many of Lifeline’s partner orphanages, working alongside of the nannies and orphanage staff to support, encourage and equip them. We’ll provide training for the nannies who interact with the children daily, sharing what we know to be true about children’s developmental stages and how they can facilitate an increased level of cognitive and emotional development. We are looking for as many people as possible to join us by providing:

“Moby Wraps” - These will allow the caretakers to hold the babies close and interact with them in a loving way. You can make these or purchase them. If you would like to make them at home, we’ve posted a link that provides instructions on how to make a Moby Wrap.

Hope for the (un)adopted Webinar

Tangible ways to be part of facilitating a safe environment to disciple and equip the fatherless.

Please join us online Tuesday, May 14th from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm CST for our “Hope for the (un)adopted Webinar: Tangible ways to be part of facilitating a safe environment to disciple and equip the fatherless”. This webinar will be lead by Amy Floyd, Lifeline’s (un)adopted coordinator.

You will learn more about Lifeline’s international orphan care ministry (un)adopted.  Our (un)adopted team will be talking through our programs and how to care for the (un)adopted.  You will hear more about what the Lord is doing and ways that you can get involved to care for the fatherless.
