Asia Program Update
Thursday, January 24, 2019

11:30 – 12:30 PM CST

As we begin a brand new year, our Lifeline team wanted to spend some time with our program families looking back at 2018 and all it held for our Asia programs! We also wanted to spend some time looking at trends, timeframes and what we are expecting to see in our Asia programs in 2019. Please join us! We are so excited to see what the Lord has planned for all of us this year!

Karla Thrasher_Square_preview

Karla Thrasher: Karla has a degree in social work from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She and her husband Jamie have three precious children, Michael, Mary Allison, and Lucy. She began working with Lifeline in 2001. She works with the international program as a crucial liaison and help for prospective parents. She serves the China program as our stateside liaison working with Lifeline’s expanding Special Needs Program, travel, and families seeking to expand their families through China adoption. “I sincerely enjoy watching our program grow and seeing families some together as a part of God’s perfect plan.” (China Program Director) She also serves on Lifeline’s Post Adoption Team.

Meagan Smith

Meagan Smith: Meagan graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. After a mission trip to Africa her freshman year of college she was called to International adoption and was amazed by the Lord’s provision in providing her a job at Lifeline. Needless to say, she was thrilled to join the Lifeline team and is excited to see how the Lord uses her to further His kingdom. Meagan has always had a heart for the people of all nations, and she feels incredibly blessed that the Lord has her at Lifeline. She is humbled that the Lord would use her to present the Gospel through adoption and invest in the lives of the families that she is privileged to work with (Focuses on our China program).

Emily Fulkerson_Square

Emily Fulkerson: Emily graduated from Auburn University in May 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. She returned home to Birmingham and had the privilege of joining Lifeline, serving families as a part of the China team since December 2012. Emily has always had a heart for vulnerable children and the Lord has expanded her view where she has grown to love the adoption process. She knew Lifeline would be the place for her to spread the Gospel to a population who desperately needs to be reached, both physically and spiritually. She feels incredibly grateful and humbled to have spent time in different orphanages in China as a part of Lifeline’s ministry. Emily knows that the Lord brought her to Lifeline to serve as His adopted child and is excited to fulfill His purpose for her life.

Lauren Taylor_Square

Lauren Spigner: Lauren graduated from Samford University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in Psychology. She joined Lifeline in 2015 as the Administrative Assistant for the China program. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of what the Lord is doing through Lifeline Children’s Services.
