Webinar: Camp Celebration - Meet the Colombia Camp Kids
About this event:
Camp Celebration: Meet the Colombia Camp Kids
Tuesday, July 17
6:30 PM – 7:30 PM CST
Could you be a forever family for one of our amazing Kids Camp kids? Would you like to be an advocate? We invite you to come learn more about the children who just attended our Colombia Kids Camp this past June! Kids Camp is a great way for children to come to the USA to learn more about culture and to spend time with host families during their stay. After having spent time with each child, we are going to be sharing more about the children who are still in need of a forever family.
Beth Perez: Beth joined the Lifeline staff in August 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mobile in 2008 and continued her education at the University of Alabama, where she received a Master’s in Social Work in 2011. Beth is a licensed social worker and works with Lifeline’s Latin American program. Beth has had the opportunity to travel overseas to several countries in Central & South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. This has caused her to have a growing passion to serve others in foreign contexts for God’s glory. Beth firmly believes that God has blessed her with the exciting opportunity to serve children and families of all nations through working here at Lifeline. (Focuses on our Latin America Programs)
Ferrah Poe: Ferrah Poe joined the Lifeline team in 2016 and is part of the Latin America department. She graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Bachelors of Social Work. Ferrah feels called to work with children and has a passion for Latin American culture. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys using her gifts to help further the gospel. She is grateful for Lifeline and their heart to share the hope of Christ and make the Gospel known.
Meredith Crawford: Meredith graduated May 2015 from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. She first got connected with the Lifeline family through an internship with the Foster Care Ministry. Shortly after her wonderful internship experience and graduation, she joined the Latin America team! The Lord has placed ministry on Meredith’s heart, and she is thrilled to be a part of an agency that is gospel-centered and passionate about orphan care. She is excited to work with families and encourage them on their process of adoption.
Maria Paola: Maria is a licensed psychologist, who works for one of our partner orphanages in Colombia. She has great experience in working with children in vulnerable situations, is bilingual, and has traveled with our Colombia Kids Camps on a few occasions now. She is well-respected by everyone in Colombia and also very loved and appreciated by all our adoptive families. Maria will be available to immediately and directly answer any questions that families have during the webinar. She will also be able to share her impressions of each child, as she oversees their cases and also traveled to Texas to chaperone for camp.
