Colombia is a unique country in every sense of the word. It has a beautiful landscape that varies from the mountains to the Amazon. The people of Colombia are gracious hosts and are genuinely some of the most loving, kind people. It also has a long history of international adoption and is working to grow their domestic and foster-care programs in country.
ICBF cares for over 200,000 children in their protection at this time. Approximately 6,000 could be adopted today – and the majority of these children will be over 9 years old, have a medical special need, or be part of a larger sibling group. (ICBF)
How We Help
Lifeline’s desire is to work closely with ICBF to advocate for the children of Colombia by helping find their forever families. Lifeline also partners with the local church in Colombia for to minister to children throughout the community and to provide life-skills development for children who may be less likely to be adopted.
