Position Summary:
Directs, evaluates and creates financial sustainability for discipleship focused ministries including birth parent, child-placing and strategic orphan care by leading and functioning within policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, and which is based on sound Christian concepts and standards.
Responsibilities:
STAFF LEADERSHIP AND ADMIN
- To be a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to co-workers, clients and ministry partners
- Organizes and directs the work of the state office and delegates responsibilities to staff members as appropriate.
- Utilizes Lifeline’s databases to track progress of goals and log communication.
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the annual state budget and controls expenditures according to budgetary allowances.
- Makes annual reports to the State Department of Human Resources (or its equivalent), as required, including any incident which is considered to jeopardize the life of a child, staff member, or other person.
DEVELOPMENT/FUNDRAISING
- Builds upon existing and historical relationships while highlighting Lifeline Children’s Services in comparison to local attorneys and other adoption agencies.
- Partners with the State Advisory Board on all aspects of the state programs and fundraising.
- Develops a program of public relations, including interpretation to the community.
- Assists in marketing initiatives in and around assigned state to promote the Lifeline ministry, both from a development and awareness side.
- Encourages financial support of the ministry through all avenues including individuals, foundations, grants, churches.
- Plans and executes fundraising events in your geographic areas.
- Creates strategic plan to meet state fundraising goals though partnering with Lifeline’s Central Office Development team.
- Pursues relationships with electronic and print media, and encourages favorable coverage of adoption issues and ministry profiles.
CHURCH PARTNERSHIPS
- Develops and cultivates partnerships with local churches through using Lifeline trainings and initiatives.
- Pursues opportunities to speak in churches about the Biblical alternative of adoption and the success of Lifeline.
- Increases the number of local church partners annually
FAMILY RECRUITMENT AND PC NETWORKING
- Works with local and central office team on family recruitment efforts in your state to achieve agreed upon annual goals.
- Partners with state Pregnancy Counseling Team to assure networking goals are met on an annual basis.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assists in agency-related events
- Maintains good relationships with co-workers, including solving all disputes in a Biblically prescribed fashion
- Represents the agency in a professional manner in and away from the office.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must meet State licensing and education requirements if applicable
- Ministry and fundraising experience preferred

Work Environment:
- This position works in a professional office environment, although travel around the local community and the state and to Lifeline’s central office is necessary from time to time.
State Specific Requirements:
- Maintains Licensure as required by profession and state regulations, when applicable.
- Complete annual training/CEUs as determined by State regulations and Hague requirements, whichever is greater.
